Bury have rejected a bid from Championship side Barnsley for Dwayne Mattis. Mattis is out of contract in the summer, but the Shakers are hoping to keep the former Huddersfield Town midfielder at Gigg Lane by offering him improved terms. Barnsley tabled a £25,000 offer for the 25-year-old but Bury have rejected the approach. Mattis has netted 17 times in 108 appearances for the Shakers since arriving on a free transfer in 2004.
