Shakers win race for Schumacher
Midfielder Steven Schumacher has agreed a two-year contract with Bury following his departure from Crewe.
The former Everton trainee, 26, was released by the Railwaymen at the end of last season.
Shakers boss Alan Knill has moved to secure his services and a club statement said: "Crewe's loss is Bury's gain after the player agreed to a two-year deal. The contracts will be signed soon."
