Shakers suffer striker crisis

Strikers Andy Bishop, Andy Morrell and Danny Carlton are all sidelined with groin, ankle and Achilles injuries respectively. The loss of Bishop is a particular blow, with the highly-rated forward set to be out for six weeks after it was confirmed he will have an operation to repair his groin problem on Monday. The absence of Bishop, Morrell and Carlton has left Knill with just two fit strikers in Tom Elliott and Ryan Lowe. Skipper Paul Scott (thigh) will again miss out and Damien Allen also remains absent due to a groin strain but fellow midfielder Richie Baker is back in training after a mild calf strain and may feature.
