Shakers promotion push continues

Andy Morrell netted his ninth goal of the season to give the Shakers their first league win for five matches. "For 90 minutes I wasn't too excited but the end result is a win and three points at home," he said. "That's 10 points this month and six games unbeaten so we're doing okay. "The most important thing was to get the win. It didn't look like it was coming and then we had a bit of quality and got the goal. It was a great goal and then we ground out the win. "It's very tense at the minute but we're pleased we produced a bit of quality when we needed it. A second goal would have been nice but I thought we defended excellently. They had nothing to lose and threw everyone forward but I'm delighted with the way we dealt with them. "I didn't really think they caused us too many problems but it was a really difficult fixture for us. I'm relieved we've won."
