Top scorer Andy Bishop, who missed a penalty and a host of other chances in the Shakers' defeat to Shrewsbury 10 days ago, had an operation on a troublesome knee injury that plagued him for much of the second half of the campaign. He is back on his feet and has began rehabilitation work in a bid to be fit in time for pre-season. Defender Efe Sodje also went under the knife to repair the injured fingers which he suffered early in the season. Sodje played through the pain barrier for the Shakers, having the fingers heavily strapped throughout the campaign and he is also expected to be fit in time to make pre-season training.
