Shakers make loan move for Welsh
The 25-year-old came through the youth ranks at Liverpool before moving to the KC Stadium in 2006 following a successful loan spell.
Welsh has yet to make a first-team appearance for the Tigers this season and boss Alan Knill was pleased to sign the former England Under-21 international despite missing out on another target.
"We are delighted to get John in and we've had to call in a favour to get him," Knill told the club's official website.
"We've also missed out on another player. I've been speaking to them all week but the player has gone somewhere else. Thankfully Hull have let John come here."
Welsh will go straight into the Bury squad for the visit of Bournemouth on Saturday.
