Shakers held in final friendly
Bury completed their pre-season fixtures with a 2-2 draw against Southport.
It was the Blue Square Premier side who took the lead after 35 minutes through an Early David header but summer signing from Huddersfield Joe Skarz ensured Alan Knill's side were level at the break when he tapped home from close range.
The Shakers got a second goal when Southport substitute Kevin Lee headed into his own net but the Yellows found an equaliser when Tony Gray scored from inside the box.
Knill will be hoping skipper Ben Futcher's injury is not too serious after he was stretchered off with 40 minutes gone.
