Shakers boss remaining positive
Marcus Bean's volley six minutes before the break was enough to settle a thrilling top-of-the-table clash, while the Shakers had Stephen Dawson sent off in the 70th minute for a second bookable offence.
Knill said: "It was two very good sides and it was a credit to the division.
"I always knew it would be one goal that settled it and unfortunately they got it. Having said that I thought we were the better side when we went down to 10 men and there were plenty of positives to take out of the game.
"It was a typical first against third game with a lot of good stuff on show. I'm confident we will start another run and be in the shake-up come May."
