Scott: Shakers can win promotion

The 29-year-old feels that manager Alan Knill's decision to sign a new contract with the club will be the catalyst for them to go one better this term. "The manager's immediate aim when he came to the club was for survival, but his ambitions changed once that was achieved," he told the Bury Times. "He has added a few players and instilled confidence into the squad. Training is excellent and geared towards improving everybody. We go into every game now believing we can win and, if we can't, we make sure we don't get beat. "We had a good season last year and we are placing pressure on ourselves to go one step further this time."
