Bury will meet either Accrington or Stockport in the northern section quarter-finals of the Johnstone's Paint Trophy.The Shakers saw off Shrewsbury 6-5 on penalties in midweek after a goalless draw at Gigg Lane.Stanley's second-round clash against County was postponed pending the outcome of a Football Association disciplinary hearing after Accrington fielded the ineligible Ray Putterill in their first-round win at Tranmere. The quarter-final clash is due to take place in the week commencing November 8.
