Parrish desperate to return

Bury full-back Andy Parrish hopes that the ankle injury he suffered against Barnet has not ended his season.

The 19-year-old was making his first start for three months when he had to limp out of the Underhill action following an awkward fall.

Parrish told the Bury Times: "It was a painful injury. I knew I'd done something as soon as I fell.

"I'd have given anything to stay on the pitch. It was a chance to prove myself and I thought I'd done well in the first half.

"Any game time I can get between now and the end of the season is a bonus."
