Bury manager Alan Knill and assistant Chris Brass have both signed contract extensions until the end of next season. Knill, 46, was appointed Shakers boss in February 2008 after the dismissal of Chris Casper and has enjoyed a successful spell in charge so far, winning 60 of his 136 games at the helm and losing just 39. He took on 35-year-old Brass, who like Knill previously represented the Gigg Lane team as a player, as his full-time deputy in January 2009 and together the duo have worked wonders leading the club to two top 10 finishes in the last two seasons, while this campaign they currently sit third in npower League Two. Bury Director Brian Fenton told the club's official website: "We are absolutely delighted that Alan and Chris have agreed these new deals. "Alan's management of the team has been exceptional since his arrival and the changes he has implemented throughout the football club both on and off the field have undoubtedly made us better."
