However, just after half-time he was denied a a second goal when he slotted the ball past County goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel only for the ball to get stuck in a huge mud patch in the goalmouth.
Nardiello said: "I had started celebrating but I did keep my eye on it.
"I couldn't believe it when it just stopped - even their players just stopped and stared at each other.
"It was a shame it didn't go in but these things happen. I was really happy with how I played and how it all went so it's just a shame really, but a point is still a good result."
