Morris pleased with display

Southend goalkeeper Glenn Morris expressed his delight following his performance against Bury, but insisted it meant nothing as his team went down 1-0. Morris produced a string of fine saves, including a penalty and another effort from the Shakers 10-goal striker Ryan Lowe, but his efforts counted for little and the Shrimpers crashed to a third successive defeat. He told the Echo: "I made a few saves in the first half but we lost the game so it counts for nothing really to be honest. "We didn't play at all well in the first half and that's what cost us the game in the end. "I had nothing to do at all in the second half and it's just a shame we couldn't play well from the start because we could've taken something from the game then."
