Morrell desperate to impress

Veteran forward Andy Morrell is determined to make his mark with League Two promotion hopefuls Bury this season.

The 33-year-old moved to Gigg Lane in the summer, having rejected the offer of a new contract from Blackpool and marked his full debut with a goal in the 3-1 victory at Chesterfield.

He told the Bury Times: "We have to look after ourselves more now and I think we do that better than the young lads at some points.

"I wasn't happy with the way Blackpool dealt with me, I thought I deserved a little bit more respect from the people there and I was disappointed to leave.

"But it's a new chapter for me now and I'm looking forward to doing well for Bury."
