"The gaffer [Alan Knill] said I can do that job and I know I can but it's not just going to click over night," he told BBC Radio Manchester. "There are times when I get frustrated in myself because my final ball should be better but I'll work on it.
"I'm not complaining but I would like to play up top as I'm a centre-forward. "As long as I'm doing a job for the team and the manager's happy with me then I'm more than happy to do that role."
