Lowe has Bury on a high

Bury caretaker boss Richie Barker paid tribute to Ryan Lowe after his winning goal in the 3-2 victory at Chesterfield confirmed the club's promotion to League One. Lowe grabbed the winner in the 87th minute with his 26th league goal of the campaign, coming after the two teams had traded efforts with Tom Lees and David Worrall twice putting Bury ahead only for Craig Davies and Jack Lester to peg them back. Promotion comes less than a month after Alan Knill swapped Bury for Scunthorpe, leaving Barker in charge for the remainder of the campaign. On Lowe's winner, Barker said: "I think 99% of players would have smashed it first time but for him to take a touch, set himself and put it where he did speaks volumes for someone who has scored 26 goals now. "I hope he takes the Golden Boot home at the end of the season."
