Lowe flying high for Shakers

Bury striker Ryan Lowe is keeping his feet on the ground despite his and the club's excellent start to the season. The 32-year-old, who signed a contract extension last week keeping him at Gigg Lane until 2013, has hit nine goals already this term including both in the 2-0 victory over Accrington on Saturday. The Shakers now lie fourth in League Two and are unbeaten in their last five matches. Lowe, whose strikes against Stanley were his 100th and 101st league goals, told the Manchester Evening News: "I haven't had many better weeks. "I go into every game expecting to score so I was over the moon to see one go in and then delighted to get another. "I have been in the sport too long to get carried away as it's only 11 games gone but if we can finish a couple of places higher than we did last season (Bury finished ninth) then we will be in there."
