Knill plays down Shakers spat

Bury boss Alan Knill has played down the argument between team-mates Stephen Dawson and defender Efetobore Sodje that marred his side's 1-1 draw with Shrewsbury Town at the weekend.

The two players had to be separated when they clashed after the Shrews' last-gasp equaliser.

However, Knill was unmoved, saying: "I like that. I wouldn't stop it unless they're throwing punches but it never got to that. I've been in dressing rooms where no-one's said a word and just accepted things.

"We think we've got a bunch of players who try not to accept anything - a defeat or even a goal against them."
