Bury manager Alan Knill has signed a new one-year contract extension to keep him in charge at Gigg Lane until the summer of 2011.
Knill took over as Shakers boss in February 2008 and guided the club to the League Two play-offs last season.
He told the club's official website: "I'm delighted and I am thankful to the directors for offering me the year's extension.
"We've come quite a long way in a short time. I still had a contract and I have never asked for another one, but the board asked me and I am happy to sign.
"I know what we are trying to do and how we are trying to do that, hopefully we can continue to progress as quickly as we have done."
