Knill basks in glory of win

Manager Alan Knill was delighted after watching Bury crank up the pressure on the top three in League Two with a comfortable 3-0 win over Stevenage.Goals from Andy Bishop, Efe Sodje and Ryan Lowe earned the Shakers victory, leaving them just two points off third-placed Shrewsbury with games in hand over every side above them except Wycombe."I thought first half we were excellent," said Knill. "We were passing and moving, and we should have had more goals before half-time."I'm delighted with the players' effort and application. They tried to do everything we asked of them. If we can keep that tempo and movement going we'll give anyone a problem."It was a tough second half. They went a bit more direct and caused us a few problems, but the good thing is we're no goals against."We cleared three off the line second half, just kept going and ground it out really. It was a scrappy finish by Andy Bishop but it doesn't matter - that goal will do his confidence the world of good, and he's deserved it because he's worked really hard to get fit."
