Knill admits regrets over Bury departure

Alan Knill admits he harbours some regrets over swapping Bury for Scunthorpe but is confident it will prove to be a wise move.Knill, 46, quit the Shakers to take over at Glanford Park in March but was unable to keep the Iron in the npower Championship.Their relegation means they will meet Bury in the third tier next season after the side Knill had spent the past three years turning into a respected force won their first promotion in 14 years."I have to be honest and yes, there's some regret," Knill told the Scunthorpe Telegraph. "I wanted to be there when they won promotion because I'd worked really hard for three years to get that team, the squad and the club to where it is today."But I think if you want a career in management, you have to look at the bigger picture and I felt the move to Scunthorpe was the bigger picture."Bury striker Ryan Lowe has been nominated for the npower Player of the Month and caretaker boss Richie Barker nominated as the npower Manager of the Month for April.
