Knill sweats on Futcher fitness
Centre-back Ben Futcher is an injury concern ahead of Bury`s npower League Two opener against Port Vale.
Futcher left the field on a stretcher after hurting an ankle during the pre-season friendly with Southport.
"We're not quite sure what it is at the moment. He might have done his ankle ligaments. He came off the field in considerable pain but by the time we left he was able to put some pressure on it, so it's wait and see," Bury boss Alan Knill told the Manchester Evening News. "It would be a massive blow if he's badly hurt."
Knill added that he may have to bring in a midfielder and a central defender on loan to strengthen the squad for Saturday.
