Knill: Shakers still in play-off picture

The Shakers have a two-point cushion over eighth-placed Northampton with eight matches remaining.[LNB]Knill expressed his regret as striker Tom Elliott missed an open goal that changed the course of the game, but he also admitted that his team's defence and attack were left wanting and both should have done better to prevent Aldershot winning.[LNB]"We're clinging on at the moment (for a play-off spot) but the good thing is that everyone else is," said Knill.[LNB]"You can't help but say that if Tom puts it in, it would have been a different game. Even though he's a young player learning his trade, the fact is he gets paid to put that in the net, so it's a harsh lesson for him, and really a harsh lesson for us.[LNB]"There were mistakes at each end in the first half - Tom's miss and their penalty - and we were poor for their second goal too. We did enough in the first 20 minutes to score but we didn't, again."[LNB][LNB]
