And they backed it up with a nervy victory after Mike Jones scored a second-minute free-kick for his seventh goal of the season.
"It was a tough three points but the good thing is that's 10 out of 12 points this month," said Knill.
"It was a great free-kick and we could maybe have got more in the first half but they were dangerous on the counter attack.
"It was tough in the second half and we lacked a bit of energy but we did enough to win the game. It's about seeing the game out and we did that. I thought the players put in a great shift to get the three points."
