Knill relieved after last-gasp win

Bury boss Alan Knill recognised that the result was more important than the performance after his side beat Morecambe 1-0 to remain second in League Two. Lenell John-Lewis came off the bench to score the only goal of the game with five minutes remaining. "I'm delighted because it was a really tough game - we knew it was going to be," said Knill. "I thought we started really positively and had we got an early goal it would have been more comfortable. To be fair to them, they made it really difficult for us. "You can't play like Real Madrid every week, sometimes you have to grind out results and we did. I've said to (Morecambe manager) Sammy (McIlroy) a fair result would have been a draw, but I thought we deserved it for the effort and perseverance. "Also, you've got to mention some great defending - Cameron (Belford) made an unbelievable save to keep us in it. We kept going and there's a belief in the team. That's four wins on the bounce and I'll take a scrappy 1-0 any time."
