Knill ponders Hewson bow

Bury boss Alan Knill could hand on-loan Manchester United youngster Sam Hewson a debut when his side travel to Bradford. The attacking midfielder, 21, has joined the promotion-chasing Shakers until the end of the campaign. He will go straight into the squad for the trip to Valley Parade but Knill will be reluctant to make changes after his side beat leaders Rochdale on Monday. Knill brought on Andy Bishop in the closing stages of the 1-0 victory and the highly-rated striker will feature again against the Bantams. Fellow frontman Danny Carlton has been sidelined with a long-term Achilles injury but he is expected back in full training at the end of February. Knill has no further injuries or suspensions and striker Tom Elliott is expected to resume his loan spell from Leeds on Monday after recovering from a hamstring strain.
