Knill lauds keeper after Shakers win

The result could have been put out of reach by Shots, who had a penalty when they were leading 1-0 which Brown saved. And Knill was full of praise for the player he considered to be the hero of the afternoon. "We obviously didn't defend well in the first half but Wayne Brown won us the game - he was absolutely fantastic," said Knill. "It seems every time we come here it's an exciting game for the neutral - there are always goals. In the first half it was way too open and even in the second half at times it was, which was not what I wanted to see. "But I did think we played well. At the back your first job is to be a defender not a footballer and we were caught out of position with no cover whatsoever. "They are a good side and every time we play them we have to be playing well to get anything out of the game and it was the same in this game. But I think in the second half we were a lot better and probably deserved the victory."
