Knill keen to avoid complacency

Bury boss Alan Knill is refusing to get carried away with his side`s resounding 4-0 pre-season victory over Leeds. Andy Bishop struck twice and Ryan Lowe and Danny Carlton were also on the scoresheet as the Shakers put Simon Grayson`s men to the sword. Knill`s men kick off their npower League Two campaign against Port Vale on August 7 but the Shakers boss is cautiously optimistic about their prospects. "It was a pretty good display against a top team - but it is pre-season and we shouldn't get carried away," said Knill. "The performance was good and if you are not happy with that result there is something wrong. It is a feather in the cap to turn Leeds over 4-0 but nobody remembers pre-season. "The most important game for us is Port Vale on the first game of the season. But these sort of performances help our confidence going into the big games."
