Knill hopeful over strike pair
The duo have been sidelined with hernia problems, but Morrell is expected to return to training on Thursday, with Bishop three weeks further back in his rehabilitation.
Knill is please with this state of affairs after initial reports suggested Bishop would be absent from the first six weeks of the new campaign.
He told the Bury Times: "Andy is only out for three weeks so he won't lose the fitness that he has got, he will just need sharpening up.
"The operation is different these days, it's not a six-week job anymore. He is walking already.
"Morrell should be back at the same time, the only problem is he needs a mini pre-season."
