Knill hails Shakers' response

The Shakers got back to winning ways following last Saturday's 1-0 defeat at Chesterfield to secure their seventh win in eight games.

Ryan Lowe converted a 71st-minute penalty to claim his 13th goal of the season and end Shrewsbury's three-match winning run.

"I'm delighted for the players because when questions were asked, they bounced back," said Knill. "It was pretty one-sided, especially the first half. We were fantastic tonight and that was third against fifth (before the game).

"The only thing that was different to the Chesterfield game was that we got the three points. I thought it was an excellent performance by everybody.

"On a difficult surface on a difficult night, we still managed to move the ball round pretty well."
