Bury manager Alan Knill is flattered to be linked with the managerial vacancy at Port Vale. Vale are on the hunt for a new boss in succession to Micky Adams who has taken over at Sheffield United and Knill is one of several names to be linked. He said: "It is nice to be recognised. "Port Vale are a decent club, a big club in this division like Bradford are, but I am contracted to Bury and I`ve got another year on my contract after this. "It shows we are going okay and we must be doing something right. It is a reflection on myself and the players. It is nice to be associated with a decent club like Port Vale."
