Knill backing promotion bid
Bury boss Alan Knill is confident his side can emerge as promotion contenders again this season.
The Shakers have gone close to winning promotion in the past two campaigns and Knill believes they are well placed to challenge strongly once more.
Knill presided over a major overhaul of his squad during the summer but Saturday`s 2-1 win at Oxford left him in buoyant mood.
"Everyone is looking at us after twelve players left," said Knill.
"We have really a different team and we have a young team, but it wants to get better and we have a lot of character in the side."
