The 29-year-old joined the Shakers on a free transfer from Halifax in the summer of 2007 and paid tribute to fans for their continued support during his time at Gigg Lane. He told the club's official website: "I would like to place on record my thanks to everyone at the club for their support during my two seasons with the club. "I will always look back at my time at Bury with fond memories, with cup victories against Leeds and Norwich the highlight of my first year, and although this season has ended in disappointment I feel proud to have contributed to the club finishing fourth in the league. "I have gained many friends around the club and wish them all good luck in the future and hope we meet again. "Finally, the fans deserve a special mention for their passion and commitment in following the team both home and away. I appreciate the fantastic support you've given both the team and myself and am sure your passion can help drive the club forward."
