Futcher lauds Barker impact

Bury defender Ben Futcher has hailed caretaker boss Richie Barker as the Gigg Lane outfit seek to clinch promotion from npower League Two. The Shakers lie second, five points clear of fourth-placed Shrewsbury with just four matches remaining. Automatic promotion to League One beckons and Futcher is keen to praise the impact of Barker since he took charge following Alan Knill's defection to Scunthorpe. Futcher said: "Alan did a great job, but Richie has come in and revitalised the club, brought everyone closer together and the lads respond well to him. "I keep reminding the lads that in the past I've lost out on promotion on the last day of the season and how important it is not to get complacent." Meanwhile, Shakers defender Joe Skarz and striker Ryan Lowe have been named in the PFA League Two Team of the Year.
