Fowler praised by Bury boss Barker
Bury caretaker boss Richie Barker has paid tribute to Robbie Fowler following his arrival at Gigg Lane.
The 35-year-old former Liverpool striker has spent the past week as part of the Shakers' backroom staff and had a similar stint at MK Dons working with their forwards.
Fowler was in the dug-out during Tuesday's 1-0 home win over Burton and, according to Barker, had an input into the Shakers' victory.
Barker said: "Robbie's very quiet, very calculated and he did make a couple of suggestions.
"It will probably take him a while to get used to it but he's getting there and I'm sure if he ends up here in July he'll do a good job."
