Cresswell wants another Jones

Midfielder Jones came to Bury after being released by Tranmere at the end of the 2007/08 season, and after starring in several friendlies he became a pivotal figure in the Shakers' push for promotion last term. And 21-year-old Cresswell is hopeful manager Alan Knill can find a player of the same calibre after playing alongside a number of young trialists in the second-half of Bury's 2-1 win against Radcliffe Borough on Monday. "The gaffer has brought some good trailists in - there were some good young lads on show," Cresswell told the Bury Times. "They are very good technical players so we'll have to see what comes of it." "It would be nice to find another Michael Jones like last season. There is a lot of talent there, but it's early days yet and we'll see how it pans out."
