Bury manager Chris Casper has been warned by the club's board that they expect results to improve in the very near future.
The Shakers have lost six games in a row to plunge down the League Two table and Casper's position has now been called into question.
A club statement read: "The board of Bury Football Club met on Saturday after the disappointing result against Dagenham & Redbridge and again on Monday to discuss the immediate future.
"Chris Casper and director of football Keith Alexander were invited to meet the board and a passionate and frank discussion took place.
"The board has explained to Keith and Chris that the fans and the club expect improvement in future results and they will be monitoring the situation on a game-to-game basis."
