Casper eyes Hurst deal

Bury boss Chris Casper is hoping to retain the services of Shrewsbury Town striker Glynn Hurst after his loan spell expired on Saturday.

Hurst has scored six goals for the Shakers, including one in his farewell game in the 2-1 win against Boston United on Saturday, during a month-long stay at Gigg Lane.

Casper is hopeful of getting Hurst back on board, but says it is down to the club's directors.

He said: "It is not my money so the directors will have a decision to make if a fee is required.

"I have spoken to Gary Peters at Shrewsbury and we have still got a couple of days to get things sorted out."
