Casper backs loan pair

Bury boss Chris Casper has backed loan duo Ben Leonard and Dale Stephens to challenge for first-team spots on their return to Gigg Lane.
Leonard is spending a month with Tamworth, while Stephens has linked up with Droylsden in a bid to gain experience.
Casper told the Bury Times: "Both players are still in my plans and no-one should think anything else.
"Dale is a very good player and Droylsden play at a good level. It is only a month and I think he will come back better for it.
"With Ben, he really needed some first-team games. He has done well in training, but needed to get a start in his career in the Football League.
"Both of them will be getting more competitive football than they would in the reserves and will be pushing for the first team when they get back."
