Lowe blow for Shakers

Bury are still without veteran striker Ryan Lowe for their Sky Bet League One clash against Swindon at Gigg Lane.

The 36-year-old has missed the start of the season with an ankle injury and is spending the week with Football Association medical staff at St George's Park to aid his recovery.

Fellow forward Daniel Nardiello is also out with a back problem and midfielder Craig Jones has a groin injury.

New defensive signing Reece Brown will not be considered as he continues to build up his fitness levels.

Michael Smith may still be involved for Swindon.

The forward is yet to make an appearance this season and is reportedly close to joining fellow Sky Bet League One side Barnsley. Manager Mark Cooper intends to include the 23-year-old if the move does not go through in time.

Cooper has also said that summer signing Drissa Traore (hamstring) should be available for selection after missing the Robins' opening two fixtures.

Striker Jermaine Hylton is an absentee as he faces up to eight weeks on the sidelines having suffered a suspected fractured collarbone in the opening-day win over Bradford.
