Ryan Lowe will hope his first league goal has persuaded David Flitcroft that he deserves a place in Bury's starting line-up against Stevenage.

The veteran striker came off the bench to score the third goal during Saturday's win over Carlisle and give Flitcroft food for thought, with fellow forwards Daniel Nardiello (groin) and Clive Platt (calf) now also fully fit too.

Keil O'Brien (knee) has had surgery on a knee injury and may not play again until October at the earliest, while winger Joe Thompson is still taking it easy after a back problem.

Full-back Craig Jones made a goalscoring return from his back issue on Saturday and will hope for no adverse reaction after completing 90 minutes.

Stevenage will again be without midfielder Andy Bond.

Bond sat out the 1-0 win over Shrewsbury at the weekend for the first of a three-match suspension after his sending off against York.

Graham Westley may tweak his side as he claims it lacked experience in stages of the match and Simon Walton will be assessed after going off with a problem inside 15 minutes.

Calvin Zola could make an appearance on the bench as he bids to make a full comeback from injury.
