Bury set to be unchanged for Shrewsbury visit

Bury could be unchanged for Shrewsbury's visit after assistant manager Ben Futcher allayed fears over Tom Pope's rib injury.

The striker came off against his old club Port Vale but Futcher confirmed at the pre-match press conference that he was merely resting the problem.

Craig Jones (dead leg) returned to training this week and should be back, though the Shakers, who have scored eight goals in their last two games, still have a lengthy injury list.

Nathan Cameron (knee), Neil Danns (foot), Andrew Tutte (hamstring), Kelvin Etuhu (knee) and Chris Brown (knee) all remain sidelined.

Shrewsbury have been handed a boost with AJ Leitch-Smith and Jim O'Brien in contention for the game at Gigg Lane.

The pair have returned to training after missing the 3-2 win at Oldham last weekend, with Leitch-Smith having been ill this season and O'Brien nursing a groin injury.

Midfielder Ian Black is unlikely to feature after suffering an unspecified knock.

Loanees Ivan Toney and Sylvan Ebanks-Blake are likely to lead the line once again after starting in the win at Boundary Park.
