No new worries for Bury
Kevin Blackwell has no new injury worries to contend with as he looks to lift Bury off the foot of npower League One with victory over fellow strugglers Scunthorpe.
A 2-0 reverse at Portsmouth on Saturday left the Shakers rock bottom and eight points behind the Iron, who hover a place above the drop zone.
Blackwell has options at his disposal to refresh an attack that has failed to score in its last two outings and strikers Andy Bishop, Nicky Ajose and David Healy could all push for a start, while on-loan Peterborough youngster Jonson Clarke-Harris may be involved once more.
"He's a young player but he's raw," said Blackwell. "He's only 18 years of age but he's got something. We're trying to work on him and if there's an opportunity to use him then we will do."
Midfielder Tom Soares (hamstring) will struggle to feature before the end of the season, while defenders Phil Picken (knee), Adam Lockwood (groin) and midfielder Shane Byrne (blood infection) must wait until next term.
Scunthorpe striker Akpo Sodje is expected to be fit for the game following another injury scare.
Sodje, who has scored five goals in nine appearances for the Iron since arriving on a free transfer from Preston in January, returned to the starting line-up in Saturday's home defeat to Coventry after missing the previous two games with a foot injury.
The former Sheffield Wednesday forward was taken off midway through the second half after taking a knock to this other foot, but manager Brian Laws expects him to resume alongside Karl Hawley.
Skipper Paul Reid returned at the weekend after missing three games through illness and Laws must decide whether to retain him and David Mirfin in central defence, while goalkeeper Eirik Holmen Johansen, on loan from Manchester City, will continue after making his league debut against Coventry in the absence of Sam Slocombe (thigh).
The Iron, two points above the relegation zone, have lost four of their last five league matches.
