Neil Danns adds to Bury's injury problems ahead of game with Oldham

Summer signing Neil Danns is a huge doubt for Bury's clash with Oldham.

The ex-Bolton midfielder was withdrawn just 14 minutes into the 0-0 draw with Coventry on Tuesday due to a foot injury and he was wearing a protective boot immediately after the final whistle.

Shakers manager David Flitcroft was already without Andrew Tutte in that region because of a hamstring injury so Jacob Mellis, who replaced Danns, may come in to start.

Chris Brown, signed from Blackburn earlier this month, must still work on his match fitness before Flitcroft throws him into action.

Oldham defender Ryan McLaughlin and winger Calaum Jahraldo-Martin are unlikely to feature at Gigg Lane.

McLaughlin has managed just half an hour against Walsall last Saturday and while Jahraldo-Martin impressed as a substitute in the midweek draw against Northampton he tweaked a hamstring.

Manager Steven Robinson admits both are a month away from full fitness and it would be a risk to use them.

Defender Jamie Reckord is expected to recover from a flexor strain which forced him to sit it out against the Cobblers, a game which Marc Klok also missed for personal reasons.
