As you were for Shakers

Kevin Blackwell will choose from an unchanged Bury squad when they host Crewe in the Capital One Cup.

The Shakers have welcomed 18 new players this summer and started off their campaign with a 2-0 defeat to promotion hopefuls Chesterfield.

Blackwell admits it will take himtime to fully discover his squad's strengths and weaknesses but he may select the same XI again in a bid to let them gel.

One player who is unlikely to feature is goalkeeper Trevor Carson with Blackwell revealing the stopper is on the verge of a imminent move away from Gigg Lane.

Crewe manager Steve Davis acknowledges he will probably have to make a few changes.

The Railwaymen kicked the season off with a 3-3 draw against Rotherham on Saturday, squandering a two-goal advantage late in the game.

Davis admits that his men faded towards the end, particularly up front, which could open the door for the likes of Ollie Turton and Vadaine Oliver, who both came off the bench.

Arsenal loanee Chuks Aneke played 21 minutes at the start of his second spell with the Alex and will get more game time as he builds up his fitness. Striker Mathias Pogba, however, is months away from a return after suffering ligament damage in his knee.
