Shakers sweat on injured duo

Ryan Lowe and Danny Mayor will continue to be assessed ahead of Bury's Sky Bet League Two clash with Carlisle at the JD Stadium.

Striker Lowe (hamstring) and midfielder Mayor (knee) both came off in the 1-1 draw with Wycombe last weekend and their respective problems are still being monitored.

Full-back Joe Riley is receiving treatment on a hamstring strain which prevented him from making his debut against the Chairboys.

Defensive pair Keil O'Brien (knee) and Pablo Mills (groin) returned to light training this week while goalkeeper Shwan Jalal (ankle) is a little further away.

Carlisle manager Keith Curle will keep changes to a minimum after his side halted a run of three straight defeats last week with victory at AFC Wimbledon.

Anthony Griffith, a recent signing following his release from Shrewsbury, made his debut in midfield and is likely to retain his place, while fellow midfielder Brad Potts will be assessed again as he plays on with a fractured toe that has required painkilling injections in recent weeks.

Curle has no major new injury or suspension worries and hopes defender Troy Archibald-Henville is fit to go again as he nurses a chronic knee problem.

Winger Danny Kearns is working hard to put himself in contention and could provide Curle with another option.
