Shakers to monitor Hinds

Bury will assess defender Richard Hinds ahead of their FA Cup first-round clash with Cambridge.

The centre-back received a head injury in the opening minutes of their 1-1 draw with Bristol Rovers on Saturday and had to be substituted. William Edjenguele, his replacement at The Memorial Ground, will hope to start if Hinds is not available.

Striker Daniel Nardiello, who joined on loan from Rotherham on Friday, will not be available to feature as he was not with the Shakers when the match was originally due to take place.

A waterlogged pitch saw this tie postponed earlier in November and so Sheffield United had to wait to see who they will be facing in the second round next month.

Cambridge should have an unchanged squad.

With versatile defender Michael Spillane (hip), striker Tom Elliott (leg) and midfielder Ryan Donaldson still out, U's boss Richard Money stuck with the same team that beat Aldershot 4-0 as they drew 2-2 at Barnet on Saturday.

It remains to be seen if Money will go with the same XI for a third game in eight days but should he wish to make changes then he has the likes of Kevin Roberts, Tom Bonner, Delano Sam-Yorke and Nathan Arnold available.
