Flitcroft ponders welcome dilemma

Bury boss David Flitcroft has a number of options in attack as the second-placed Shakers seek to claim a third straight league victory when entertaining leaders Burton.

After being dropped following a barren run, Ryan Lowe found his shooting boots when coming off the bench at Carlisle last weekend and netted again when back in the starting line-up against Stevenage.

Danny Nardiello featured as a substitute in both of those games after recovering from a groin problem, while fellow front man Clive Platt was available but unused each time as he works his way back following a calf injury.

Defender Keil O'Brien will be out for the foreseeable future with a knee injury.

Burton boss Gary Rowett is expected to freshen up his side.

Albion lost for the first time this season at AFC Wimbledon in midweek, with Rowett admitting after the 3-0 defeat that he wished he had made more changes. The only change in London was an enforced one with Jacob Blyth replacing Adam McGurk in attack after he got a knock on his hip in the win against York.

Lucas Akins and Phil Edwards were both forced off through injury against the Dons and are doubtful.

Knee injuries keep Lee Bell, Damien McCrory and Jimmy Phillips sidelined, but left-back McCrory is nearing a return to full training.
