Mayor blow for Shakers

Bury will be without midfielder Danny Mayor for the visit of Burton to the JD Stadium.

Mayor, on loan from Sheffield Wednesday, begins a three-match suspension after being sent off in the 4-0 loss to Chesterfield with the Shakers electing not to appeal the decision.

Club captain Craig Jones could return, though, after a specialist gave the Welshman the all-clear to resume full training following his groin problem.

Tom Soares could make his first start in a month following a hamstring problem and the only player unavailable to boss David Flitcroft could be striker Regan Walker, who has sustained a knock.

Burton have no new problems on their return to League Two action but Zeli Ismail comes back into the reckoning for Gary Rowett's side.

Wolves winger Ismail was ineligible for the FA Cup third-round tie against Bournemouth in midweek having already featured in the competition for his parent club but he could make his full debut on Saturday after a sparkling appearance as a substitute in the 2-1 win over Cheltenham last weekend.

Robbie Weir could come back into the Albion midfield after he was rested at Dean Court.

The only absentees will be striker Michael Symes (knee) and centre-half Shane Cansdell-Sherriff, who is only expected to be out for another couple of weeks with the fractured cheekbone he suffered against Mansfield on New Year's Day.
